Another feature that is great is Carpet Boost, which gives the S9 an extra suction force when it comes in contact with carpeting to collect even more dirt and debris. It also features the square front design, which is more close to the corners and walls than the older round designs. This model is not compatible well with high-pile or shag carpeting.
During our testing, we found that the iRobot S9+ cleans thoroughly and efficiently on a variety of flooring surfaces, ranging from hard to medium-pile carpets and rugs. It also did well with tiles, vinyl flooring, and laminate flooring. It also did a good job of navigating between furniture and objects although it did struggle with stairs, where it can accidentally crash into things like bookcases.
We liked the feature that the S9 automatically returns to its base to empty its dust bin when it's full, which greatly reduces hands-on maintenance needs. Its dust bag is expected to last for about 30 loads, or around a month or two, and you'll have to replace the filter every once every so often (which is actually recommended by iRobot). The iRobot S9+ is not very noisy when it operates making it a great choice for families with pets or children.

The Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid is an all-in-one mopping and vacuum machine making it a great option for those living in a flat with multiple floors. Dual motors provide it with incredible cleaning power and the 0.6l dustbin can hold plenty of pet hair. The dustbin is easily removed and empty, which is great because you'll have to do this frequently.
It's also simple to set it up, though I recommend fully charging the X8 Hybrid prior to running it for the first time. Install the Eufy Home application and follow the instructions to connect it to your WiFi network. The app will then help you create an outline of your home. You can name the rooms, divide large areas into sub-rooms to make it easier for open-plan living, and guide the X8 Hybrid towards specific areas in need of cleaning at a particular time. There are many other robots that offer similar mapping and robotvacuummops scanning functions, but Eufy's app is more refined and user-friendly than the other.
The X8 Hybrid has a great feature: you can activate the mop or vacuum cleaner through voice thanks to the integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. This is a nice feature that makes the robot hands-free. It worked well in our test house.
The X8 Hybrid, like many robotic vacuums has some problems with floors that are not fully covered. It is prone to miss fur and small objects and tends to bump things, such as its charger on the charging platform. It's not as quiet as other models we've tried, and the whirring noise could be distracting.
Roborock V3S pro
This robot doesn't have as many features as the more expensive models we tested, however it does have the basics covered. It has a huge dust bin which can hold a lot of dirt before it needs to be cleaned. The mop and vacuum system is ideal for carpets with hard floors as well as carpets with a low pile. It's also quiet. We were able watch the TV while it was cleaning without feeling as though we were being bombarded with noise.
Our test subjects were extremely impressed by how easy the machine was to operate and set up. They also appreciated its ability to remove all the messes from their flooring. It even did a pretty good job at removing pet hair and messes from carpeting, although it was not as effective in tackling stubborn stuck-on staining. The users found the app to be user-friendly and intuitive, and were able to schedule the vacuum to clean on a regular basis to reduce the amount they had to do manually. It doesn't feature the ability to avoid objects or map technology, so it isn't able to be sent to specific rooms or follow virtual borders (though magnetic boundaries are compatible).
The V3S Pro is another model that is part of iRobot's affordable line. It has some impressive features at an affordable price. It was the top robot vacuum we tested for mapping and avoiding obstacles. It's also the best budget option for those seeking a smarter, self-emptying robotic vacuum that is able to handle pet messes and hair on hardwood floors or carpets with low pile. It is also very quiet and comes with a large dust bin which can hold plenty of debris before it's time to empty it.
The V3S Pro did not make it into our top choice lists from reliable sources that test hands-on, but it received high marks from Modern Castle, Smart Robot Reviews and The Ambient. They were impressed with the ease of install and use, however they did note that its battery life was very short and it was unable to avoid some of the most stubborn messes we put it through.

Roborock has put in the time to develop this smart cleaner. It is extremely well-constructed, and it feels like premium materials were used to make it. Its base is strong and stable, with an integrated charging port for the battery. There's a docking station for the clean-water tank as well as the bins for dirty water on top. Under those, you'll find an area that houses the vacuum bag sealed.
